My Designer Fabric Shop : A gental mix of art and business.

In no way would people look at me and see someone who works in the Fashion industry let alone own a unique desinger fabric store. My personal clothing style boarders on the conservitive to the nerdy.
My personal attitude is a rare blend of artistic and business - actually they are my passion. Although I am not a clothing designer or a dressmaker I contribute artistically to this business through the promotion and marketing; photograpghy, promo design, web design... I thrive on making business decsisions, determined to succeed.
I will update this blog from time to time with new photos and business/life stories. I hope this was interesting for you.
A creative mock-up.
This is a photo I took while laying on the floor of the shop. I love the colours and mock-up of it. Soon I will spend a whole day dedicated to taking photos of the shop, the fabric and other mock-ups like this.

I designed this website with photoshop - my first attempt. I then gave the files to my friend who made it into a website. It is getting a bit out of date now so I have started work on a new one!

I created this site due to the enourmous amount of people calling d'Italia asking for dressmakers. Although we have our own dressmakers - It was obvious that a directory needed to be created. It has proven to be very popular. (Site was posted: Dec 07
- Feeding life into the monster Industry: Sewing Tips
Due to the mass import of cheap Chineese clothing pepole just stopeed sewing for themselves. This site is my life blood contibution to this important art and craft - as it nearly died.
